Reports to: The Operations Manager reports to the Head of Operations
Overall Purpose
The Safarilink Operations Manager oversees operational control aspects of the organisation‚ reservations (both schedule and charter flights)‚ aircraft booking control‚ and essentially looking after the commercial and compliance obligation of the organisation.
The position holder is  also  responsible  for analyzing  and  improving  organizational processes‚  work  to  improve  quality‚ productivity‚ safety‚ and efficiency.
The Operations Manager is responsible for but not limited to:
•Safe ground and flight operations.
•Control of operations and operational standards of all aeroplanes operated by Safarilink.
•The identification of various functions which impact operational control (e.g.‚ maintenance‚ payload management‚ equipment scheduling.
•Supervision of Flight Operations‚ Cabin operations safety‚ aircraft allocation‚ ground handling training and ground/flight safety
•Production and amendment of Company manual (Part G)
•Liaison with regulatory authority on all matters concerning flight operations‚ including any variations to the Safarilink Air Operator certificate.
•Liaison with any external agencies which may affect Safarilink Aviation operations.
•Ensuring that Safarilink operations are conducted in accordance with current regulations‚ standards‚ and Air operator policy.
•Ensuring that crew scheduling complies with flight and duty time regulations and that crew are informed of any changes in regulation.
•The receipt and actioning of any aeronautical information affecting the flight safety of flight.
•Maintaining current documentation for Operation staff.
•Carrying out interviews and hiring of potential staff and crew.
Knowledge and Experience
•Bachelor’s Degree (Aviation management‚ Aeronautical or Business degree preferred)
•Atleast 3 years’ relevant work experience
•Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
•Experience with and an understanding of corporate aircraft operations and KCAA regulations.
•KCAA Flight dispatch license or Pilot License. (Added advantage)
•Should have a complete understanding of company operations and dispatch processes.
•Comprehensive knowledge of flight operational requirements and procedures.
•Experience with operating flight scheduling software systems preferred but not required.
•Knowledge and experience with regulatory‚ customs entry/exit procedures as well as international handling.
